The season is picking up and there's been a lot of action on the river. First we had the stripers coming in, and then the pogies (menhaden) show up again en masse. Then what a surprise when the blue fish showed up! I hadn't seen them inshore in at least 5 years, so it was nice to see them slapping the water as they went after the pogies.
This, of course, attracted a lot of attention and the seagulls, egrets, and herons all showed up to feed on the mess. This blue heron came along and posed for us on the rocks!
Our new Coffee Cruise has been a great success for you early risers, and we still have some dinner cruises available. As a private and safe getaway we are seeing a lot more interest this year, so book early!
